Corporate Travel Itineraries

When it comes to corporate travel there's a good chance you're going to be given an itinerary, it may be complete, or it may be missing items that you're going to have to fill in. The biggest thing is not to forget it on your way out the door.

 

Whether your corporate travel itinerary is full of tourist attractions or is full of business meetings and seminars, your itinerary is vital. This itinerary should not only explain your business travel plans, but also explain the times and locations of all of your activities. If you don't have it with you, there's a good chance you're going to have a lot of trouble when you arrive at your destination. It's also essential that you leave a copy of your business itinerary a home so you can be found if you're needed. Even if you live alone, store copy of your business itinerary a home so that worst-case scenario and you lose yours, you can have someone fax a copy.

Along with your business itinerary, you should have your own personal schedule preceding and directly after your business trip. Having a personal schedule for your business trip allows you to pack with adequate time, check with the airlines or your rental car, and a variety of other personal things preceding and directly after your travel. Your personal schedule should include airport car storage, or at least your shuttle bus service schedule. If you're taking a bus you need the schedule for not just going to the airport, but also for coming back so you know what can happen when you get off your plane. Being organized is the biggest tip for any business traveler, and having a personal agenda as well as your itinerary can allow you to be organized and efficient.

Along with that personal itinerary, should be a packing list of what you're bringing, and what you're wearing. This list should have clothes that are all interchangeable in case something happens. Also, make sure you pack an extra shirt, in case of a disaster. There's no sense in being in a hurry when it comes to packing, again, organization is the key and if you allow yourself enough time you be satisfied with the clothes you have on your trip.

Making sure that not only do you have an itinerary for corporate travel, but also a variety of personal schedules can allow you to arrive relaxed instead of stressed. If you're not sure when your bus is taking off for the airport shuttle, or all of your clothes are not interchangeable, there's a good chance that your mind is not going to be on your corporate business, but on personal matters.
